The Atlantic Hurricane season is beginning to get a little more active.

Meteorologists are tracking a tropical wave that has been given a high chance of developing into a tropical system over the next five days. The National Hurricane Center reports the shower and thunderstorm activity is located 850 miles west southwest of the Cape Verde Islands.

It has a 30 percent chance of formation, which is considered a medium chance, over the next 48 hours. If it does develop it will be called Bertha.
