Miami Beach Officials Clean Up The Community, And In The Keys!

The City of Miami Beach staffers are back to work – sort of.  

Early Wednesday morning, officials and first responders from all departments boarded buses to head out to city parks. The will be working together to assist in clean-up efforts at locations including: 

  • Allison Park
  • Altos Del Mar Park
  • Beach View Park
  • Crespi Park
  • Indian Beach Park
  • La Gorce Park
  • Muss Park 
  • Normandy Isle Park and Pool
  • Normandy Shores Golf Club
  • North Shore Park Youth Center
  • Parkview Island Park
  • Poinciana Park
  • Polo Park
  • Sunset Isle II Park
  • Sunset Lake Park (Sunset Island IV Park)
  • Tatum Park
  • Washington Park
  • Washington Park Annex

Miami Beach officials are also extended their helping hands outside of community borders. 

The Miami Beach Fire Department is deploying a team of up to 20 firefighters to the Florida Keys at noon Wednesday, to assist in clean-up efforts.  

According to a news release, the City of Miami Beach "...is grateful that it did not experience any catastrophic damage and feels that it is imperative to give back to the other areas that were not as lucky."

Time may be short, but the city is requesting donations for the fire teams to take with them.  The following items are being requested and can be delivered until noon:
