The King of Pop was resurrected at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards for an epic spectacle on Sunday.

A hologram image of Michael Jackson took the stage at the MGM Grand Las Vegas and performed “Slave to the Rhythm” — a posthumous track off the late-pop superstar’s recently-released Xscape album.

The performance opened with a SWAT Team dancing in synchronization to a distressing sound of helicopters. When the curtains dropped, the faux King of Pop was found sitting on a throne modeled after MJ’s Dangerous album artwork.

Dressed in a gold military jacket, the hologram Michael moonwalked and executed a high-energy dance number with a five-piece band and 16 dancers.

In 2012, the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival pulled the same stunt with a hologram image of Tupac that accompanied Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre during their star-studded set.

What are your thoughts on the hologram Michael Jackson performance?
