Chelsea Cutler at The Southwest Sound Stage

On Wednesday night, newcomer Chelsea Cutler joined us in our Southwest Sound Stage. In the age of streaming and digital services, she's carved out her own lane and fan-base. In her short career, Chelsea has not only been featured on a song with Kygo, but she has also performed at Bonaroo and will be on the Coachella stage this year.

Her conversation with Y100 nighttime jock, Frankie P, was so real and human. Many times throughout the night, the audience shook their heads to agree with her views on money, paying bills, and even a $20 haircut from Supercuts.

While many artists would never disclose that they scroll through social media comments and sometimes let trolls get the best of them, Chelsea did. She even mentioned how one user said, "Chelsea Cutler is for white girls who like White Claw." While funny to hear out loud, we can't help but strongly disagree. In the hour we sat with her, we can say that Chelsea is for everyone. She sings in a soulful language that we've all been through, love and ultimately heartbreak.

At the end of the night, Chelsea performed more songs than planned and even let a fan join her onstage to sing the words to a song she couldn't quite remember.

It was a great evening with some of her biggest South Florida fans, and we can't wait to see where her career takes her!
