Nicki Minaj's Husband Kenneth Petty Fails To Register As Sex Offender

YIKES!

Nicki Minaj's husband, Kenneth Petty, has the feds on his case after failing to register in California as a sex offender. Back in 1995, he was convicted of first degree rape in New York, but after a traffic stop gone wrong in Beverly Hills this past November, Petty was arrested and had to post $20,000 bail.

He clearly didn't take the arrest or legal fees seriously because he still didn't check in, so now the U.S. Marshals arrested him on an indictment for failure to register as sex offender.

According to TMZ:

Prosecutors wanted Petty placed on house arrest, but his attorney objected and instead Petty is being required to wear an ankle monitor. He will also have a curfew.

Petty's lawyer says he's going to post $100,000 bond later today. Petty will also be under pretrial supervision and has already surrendered his passport. His travel will be restricted to Southern California.

Petty also can't use drugs, even marijuana from legal dispensaries in L.A. He has another hearing scheduled for March 23.
