Hialeah Cop The 2nd Miami-Dade Officer To Test Positive For COVID-19

It was a matter of time, and that's the sad truth.

Unfortunately, a Hialeah narcotics detective is now the second Miami-Dade County officer to test positive for COVID-19. This is following news of a Miami Beach police officer being the first and the department spokesman, Ernesto Rodriguez, saying several cops who interacted with the individual have self-quarantined. According to the Miami Herald, no one else at that station has tested positive.

“He was following up on a case when he came in contact with someone. He was tested last week. The test came back positive. Now they’re backtracking and he’s been isolated since the test,” said a source.
