Joe Exotic Transferred To Federal Hospital For COVID-19, Movie In The Works

Joseph Maldonado-Passage, also known as Joe Exotic, star of Netflix's documentary Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem, and Madness, has tested positive for COVID-19. According to a local Dallas-Fort Worth news outlet, his husband Dillon Passage said the former zoo owner (who is serving 22 years for his role in a murder-for-hire plot as well as violating the Endangered Species Act) was moved from Oklahoma to a medical center operated by the Federal Bureau of Prisons:

“Joe is in COVID-19 quarantine. They put him on a COVID-19 isolation because there were cases in the previous jail he was at.”

This news is sure to spark more ideas for writers at Universal Content Productions working on a scripted series based on Joe's life. According to People, Kate McKinnon is already set to play the role of Carole Baskin, his arch nemesis. PETA has reached out asking that they not harm animals while filming this project:

“Netflix’sTiger King is calling critical attention to the abuse and neglect endured by big cats and other wild animals used for entertainment — progress that will be undone if real wild animals are used in Universal Content Production’s upcoming series.”

Meanwhile, The Hollywood Reporter says Joe wants either Brad Pitt or David Spade to play him! We think Thomas Lennon didn't do too bad of a job on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, LOL...
