Broward Mourns Loss Of Dillard High School Football Coach Eddie Frasier, 34

A young life taken too soon, a theme we see more and more lately in the media outlets amid this global pandemic. But this young life's loss hit close to home as he touched many of South Florida's budding athletes, students, and apprentices.

Eddie Frasier, a varsity coach at Broward County's Dillard High School, respectfully recognized by his colleagues and even the Miami Dolphins, passed away at the age of 34. The Miami Dolphins named him Frasier the 2019 George F. Smith High School Coach of the Year. Twitter users reacted, of course. The cause of death is unknown, but not Coronavirus-related, according to our TV affiliate.

NBC 6 reports:

Frasier, a graduate of Dillard himself, became the head varsity football coach this past season and led the team to an undefeated 2019 season and regional final playoff berth. The medical examiner’s office is working to figure out the cause of death, but NBC 6 has learned that it wasn’t related to COVID-19.
