Simon Cowell & James Corden Each Vying To Host One Direction Anniversary

Directioners, the wait is almost over!

In an Instagram Live with Swedish DJ Alesso, Liam Payne basically fueled rumors that the 10th year anniversary reunion of One Direction is coming! Alesso noticed a lot of fans commenting questions about the group, and he addressed it:

The hardcore Directioners noticed that Liam's official Twitter, as well as Louis Tomlinson's, Niall Horan's, Harry Styles', and the One Direction account, all followed Zayn Malik recently, five years after the abrupt ending of the group. Zayn is now listed back as "Vocals" instead of "Ex-Member" on Google when you search the group. E! News reported more clues fans caught:

Further, fans also noticed that all five of the band's albums are now available on Apple Music andto top it off, the official 1D website has also been reactived for the first time since the band began its hiatus in 2016.

The day-1 Directioners started paying close attention to clues ever since Liam told The Sun that the group has been discussing their big anniversary:

"We've got a 10-year anniversary coming up so we've all been speaking together a lot over the last few weeks which has been really nice," he shared. "You hear a lot of people's voices and seeing old content and different things that we haven't seen for a long time or never seen before, it's very interesting."

Naturally, such an anticipated moment needs to be televised and hosted properly... according to The Mirror, both Simon Cowell and James Corden are vying for the spot. Simon, who's responsible for forming the group after they each auditioned solo for X-Factor, wants the boys to make their comeback on his show Britain's Got Talent. And James, of course, wants them on his show instead. Turns out the executive producer of James' show, Ben Winston, used to be Harry Styles' roomie.
