Parades In Pompano Beach & Miami-Dade Celebrates Senior Recognition Day!

This year has been full of challenges to say the least, but today is the big day for seniors across the country! For Miami-Dade, today is Senior Recognition day to honor those graduating in this year’s class of 2020.

Although amid the pandemic, graduation ceremonies will be held online, but virtual celebrations are welcome! Miami-Dade school superintendent, Alberto Carvalho, says family members and anyone wishing to leave positive messages are welcome to cheer on the county’s more than 21,000 graduates.

In Pompano Beach, the city is throwing two parades to celebrate their high school graduates. The class of 2020 will be celebrated outside today at 4 p.m. at Blanche Ely High School and 7:20 p.m. at Pompano Beach High School.
