Disney World Reopens Amid COVID-19 Surge In Florida Numbers, Twitter Reacts

"Welcome home."

The thing is... STAYING home might be the smartest thing, in fact. But in any case, for those who just need to get a dose of "the magic," Walt Disney World in Orlando is back open. This decision comes at a time when Florida has officially shattered the record for single-day newly-confirmed coronavirus cases. Though they took the promo down from Twitter, Disney kept this video up on Instagram. Staff (who we're sure want to get back to making magic and money, as well) of all kinds are seen with face masks on welcoming guests back to "the most magical place on Earth."

Obviously as Floridians, we might feel torn between wanting to stay safe at home and risking COVID-19 exposure for the sake of our local economy. With Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom both opening over the weekend and the Epcot and Hollywood Studios sides of the park set to open this week, reports claim that July reservations sold out quickly.
