For The 135th Time, Groundhog Gives Prediction; 6 More Winter Weeks Coming

A tradition traced back to the 1800s, today's the nationally-celebrated Groundhog's Day. And Phil, the groundhog, gave his prediction this morning in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, where thousands usually gather annually... but corona, so not as many attended this year's festivities.

The German-origin superstition is that on February 2nd, if the little furry guy sees his shadow (due to clear weather) it will burrow back into its nest and winter will persist 6 more weeks. But if he doesn't see his shadow (due to cloudy weather) then spring will arrive early.

The prediction for 2021 was more winter... but c'mon we knew that, LOL.
