As the world starts to look and feel a little "back to normal," so have the movie theaters!
Fans of the big screen have flocked back to theaters in past weeks, and one of the major releases fueling this fire is Disney's Cruella starring Emma Stone. She killed it! But one of the signature Cruella characteristics was noticeably absent from the film – Emma wasn't allowed to smoke for her role as the villain due to Disney's ban on smoking. It's been 10 years since Disney removed any visual of cigarettes or the like, and this put a damper on the actresses "dream," she explained in The NY Times:
“I was so excited to have that green plume of smoke, but it was not possible. I don’t want to promote smoking. I’m also not trying to promote skinning puppies.”
