Why Fans Think Taylor Swift May Be On The Season Finale Of 'Grey's Anatomy'

After receiving an honorary doctorate from NYU, Dr. Taylor Swift might be making an appearance in an upcoming episode of Grey's Anatomy. According to a fan on Twitter, Swift's name and picture are listed on the full cast and crew IMDb page for ABC's long-running medical drama 400th episode called "Out for Blood." However, the actual IMDb page no longer lists Swift on the cast page and instead shows Miss Piggy from The Muppets playing herself. The tweet from late last night garnered thousands of likes and comments from fans looking for hints Taylor might have dropped about being in the show's season finale. IMDb is rather reliable in that its data goes through consistency checks to make sure information is as accurate as possible, but people can submit information on their own. So, was this a case of a "Swiftie" submitting their own information on IMDb? A studio insider putting out the Swift cameo too soon and having to take it down? Fans will just have to wait to find out until the episode airs later this week.

The episode will act as the show's 2-hour season 18 finale airing on Thursday, May 26. Earlier this month, the cast and crew held a 400th episode red carpet to celebrate the major milestone. According to ET, who was at the celebration, the stars of the Shonda Rhimes show couldn't give away too many details about the episode but Ellen Pompeo did share, "There is sadness, yes... I was exhausted yesterday. I filmed a couple of the final scenes yesterday and I definitely had my wine after work, and I was done. I didn't cook dinner. I just laid on the couch." Pompeo, who plays the show's namesake, Dr. Meredith Grey, has been on the show since its 2005 inception and has signed on for season 19, according to Deadline.
