Broward County declares a two-day cold weather emergency advisory to help residents prepare for the cold front.
Temperatures are expected to drop down into the 40s for South Florida so the advisory is in effect from 6 p.m. Friday to 9 a.m. Saturday.
Another advisory goes into effect again from 6 p.m. Saturday to 9 a.m. Sunday.
According to NBC 6, residents who are in need of a place to stay during those nights they've been advised to meet by 6 p.m. each night at the Salvation Army (1445 W. Broward Boulevard) and the HOPE South Florida Shelter (1100 N. Andrews Avenue) for transportation.
