I was just talking to my sister about how this could be one of the last years we can go to actual MALLS and STORES to do our holiday shopping! Which I hate, because I absolutely love malls.
Forever 21 recently announced that the company is filing for bankruptcy as well as closing dozens of store locations by the end of the year. In doing so, they're hoping the stores that will remain open see more foot traffic and higher sales. The list of nearly 180 locations contains stores at some of the biggest shopping centers in the country, including The Americana at Brand in Glendale, California and SoHo in New York.
If you're worried about Miami, it does look like Pembroke Pines and Miami Beach have both made the list. While it's not set in stone yet, both locations are on the list of potential closings by the end of 2019.
The planned closures represent about a third of Forever 21 stores open in the U.S. today.
