One Jupiter man took it upon himself to pay off every single child's lunch debt at nine Florida schools this week, garnering national attention and the praise of parents everywhere. School lunch debt has been a heavy topic of discussion over the past few months as some public schools have stopped offering lunch to students who can't pay.
It all started when mom Angie Vyas-Knight, administrator of the "Jupiter Mamas" Facebook group, asked the Palm Beach county school board for the district's stats on unpaid school lunch debt. She ended up sharing these stats with the rest of the world. Nine schools within the district had an outstanding debt of $944.34.
