MDCPS help homeless or low-income students with the Shop

November is National homeless awareness month and due to the high housing cost even some working families aren’t able to meet rent. In Miami, there's an estimate of 9,000 homeless students, 500 of which are unaccompanied homeless teens, living on their own. The Miami Dade county schools district is trying to make a difference by reminding students of the Shop at the Lindsey Hopkins tech center saying “no one needs to go without."
