Tom Hanks To Be Honor With The Cecil B. DeMille Award At Golden Globes

Tom Hanks will receive a unique award during the 2020 Golden Globes. The Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced that Hanks will be the next recipient of the Cecil B. DeMille Award. This annual honor is given to a "talented individual who has made a lasting impact on the film industry." 

Tom has produced, written, and acted in many films throughout the years. Among them,Forrest Gump which earned him an Academy Award, also Golden Globe-winning Cast Away, for which he lost 55 pounds, Saving Private Ryan, Toy Story and his latest iconic film A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood are just some of the films that Tom Hanks has made legendary. Some other upcoming projects for Hanks include the WWII drama "Greyhound," which he wrote, and the post-Civil War film "News of the World."

The nominations for the 77th Annual Golden Globe Awards will be announced on Dec. 9th and the 2020 Golden Globes air live on Jan. 5th.
