If you love candy and Snickers candy bars to be exact, this might be right up your alley. The company has set a new record just in time for the Big Game.
A company called Mars Wrigley created a giant version of the popular candy that weighed in over two metric tons. In doing so, they've set a new Guinness World Record for the largest chocolate nut bar.
The epic chocolate candy bar was made at the Mars Wrigley plant in Waco, Texas, and officially weighs 4,728 pounds. If you need a clearer picture just think 43,000 regular-sized bars combined.
Now, let's dig into what's in the big bar shall we... According to a press release it took more than 1,300 pounds of caramel, peanuts, and nougat combined plus nearly 3,500 pounds of chocolate to build this bad boy.
So, how does this connect to the Super Bowl? Well, Snickers has tweeted out hints that "maybe the world just needs a SNICKERS" along with the date Feb. 2 which coincidently is the same day as the Super Bowl. I guess we're just going to have to pay extra close attention to the commercials this year.
