In midst of all this coronavirus situation, President Trump has authorized Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin to officially move Tax Day from April 15th to July 15th. During the announcement on Friday, Mnuchin said, “All taxpayers and businesses will have this additional time to file and make payments without interest or penalties.”
The administration made an announcement earlier in the week that it would delay the payments and as of Feb. 21, the IRS had issued more than 37.4 million refunds. Mnuchin also said that he “encourage all taxpayers who may have tax refunds to file now to get your money.”
So before post offices are closed send your docs and get that refund!
