South Florida Animal Shelter Empty For The First Time

In the midst of the craziness going on, there is some great news!

For the first time EVER one of the three Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control kennel is completely empty.

In a video posted on social media, you can see the staff cheering, smiling and clapping as they showed off the open doors and empty cages of kennel two. Which is their hold stray housing kennel and adoption overflow. The video also thanked all of those hard workers, volunteers, those who've adopted and fostered fur babies.

It turns out that tough times like the one we are all experiencing push us to get companions and what better way than with a man's best friend.

However, we can't say the same for other places in South Florida, the Miami-Dade Animal Services also has dogs and cats available for fostering or adoption and they are doing everything in their power to make sure these cuties find a forever home.

They are having a virtual dog adoption event on their Facebook page Thursday, April 16 at 11:00 a.m.

Plus, they've thought of everything, they will have adoption counselors showcasing the dogs and answering your questions about the adoption process live.

The best part for you and of course for the pup is that if you see one you like, they will be able to process the entire adoption virtually.
