It is OFFICIAL!!! There's no more American Airlines Arena.
As of Friday, the home of the Miami Heat is now the FTX Arena.
In March Miami-Dade commissioners signed off on a naming rights deal with cryptocurrency exchange FTX. The change will be for a while, it's a 19-year deal worth $135 million.
Here's a fun fact, this is the first name change for the Biscayne Boulevard building, since opening its doors in 1999.
