It was a pretty cool start for Amazon's Prime Day. The online giant teamed up with the non-profit Amigos For Kids for a back-to-school giveaway. About 1,000 South Florida students received a backpack with all the essentials needed to take on the upcoming school year.
Kids got pencils, paper, spiral notebooks, composition notebooks, crayons, and more. Basically, everything that is age-appropriate for each individual child.
In their IG post, Amigos For Kids wrote, "The work we did today wouldn’t have been possible without Amazon’s generous donation in celebration of #PrimeDay. We want to give special thanks to our Board Member Victoria Madani, our staff, and Amazon volunteers. Today was a success in kicking off our 2022 Amigos For Kids Blue Backpack Project."
