Just as we start Hispanic Heritage Month, Jennifer Lopez made a huge announcement to help Latino(a) businesses.

In a press release by Grameen America, they said that the new partnership with JLo seeks to advance both her’s latest philanthropic project, Limitless Labs, which aims to support Latina-owned small businesses, as well as Grameen America’s goal to empower 600,000 Latina entrepreneurs across 50 U.S. cities. The project will invest $14 billion in life-changing business capital and spend 6 million hours of financial education and training by 2030.

In an interview with NBC's Morgan Radford, JLO mentioned the importance of embracing her Latina roots and giving back to her community. She says that she learned a lot from making her own brand and working hard to reach her goals. The singer, actress, and business owner is taking her role as National Ambassador very seriously and is going to motivate, promote, and inspire Latina businesswomen. JLo will Latina business owners understand the way to financial independence and literacy using the Grameen America microloan program.

I've always been a big JLo fan and acknowledged that she's broken down barriers for Latinas in just about every industry. Now, it's our turn to make that move and learn more about a program that can change our future.
