As a movie lover, it's sad to see theaters close their doors. They're such a unique experience to view some of the best projects from our favorite actors.
Unfortunately, Regal Cinemas is closing 39 more movie theaters across the country. Two are right here in South Florida, they are the Shadowood 16 in Boca Raton and South Beach Stadium 18 and Imax in Miami.
The decision comes just four months after its parent company Cineworld filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. The closing of all these theaters, including those in South Florida is set to begin on February 15.
Thankfully, Cineworld is working with landlords to keep its other theaters open and after these closures, 500 will remain.
