Looks like we aren't letting anything go to waste and I'm here for it!

Food waste is a huge problem in the U.S. with 40% of perfectly edible food being thrown to the trash. To fight this battle, the Too Good To Go app just launched in Miami. The app aims to combat food waste while helping businesses recoup lost revenue and giving customers access to big savings.

Too Good to Go started in Europe in 2016 after co-founder Lucie Basch saw the amount of food going to waste at her job in food processing. Since then, it’s become the world’s number-one food waste-fighting app. Other states in the U.S. using the app include New York, Los Angeles, Boston, Chicago, and now Miami. Right now, over 60 Miami restaurants, cafes, and supermarkets are offering up cool deals including prepared meals, groceries, baked goods, beverages, and produce with the Too Good To Go app.

I already downloaded the app and let me tell you, it's pretty user friendly. You just login, select your area, Miami, Fort Lauderdale or any other city. You then browse from participating partners close to your location. Once you get those steps done, you’ll be able to select from different restaurants and stores and click on the “surprise bags”. From what the app says, the bags featuring different discounted items from that day.

For example, the bag from Just Salad in Fort Lauderdale right now is going for $5.99 and contains $18 worth of items. In Miramar, Talkin' Tacos have a bag that is $5.99 on the Too Good To Go app and contains $18 worth of delicious food.

According to the app, all of the items are fresh and ready to prepare or eat. Plus, my favorite part is that it's all a surprise and I totally love the mystery.
