Meta, f.k.a. Facebook, is taking a page from OnlyFans' book and getting ready to rollout a "paid subscription" feature for some creators. Followers and fans will pay anywhere from $1 to $100 for exclusive content on Instagram Stories.
The head of Instagram said yesterday:
“Subscriptions are one of the best ways for creators to have a predictable income. And not have it attached to how much reach you get on any given post.”
We wonder who the "relatively small number of creators" will reportedly be the social platform will be testing this feature out on. Would you pay $100/month for Britney to reveal all her family secrets? Or $100 to be the "first to know" when Justin Bieber and Hailey will officially be "expecting"...?
