The National Hurricane Center announced last night that tropical storm Earl has developed into the second hurricane of the year. The hurricane center also said that Earl is becoming stronger, and could become a major hurricane by the end of the week. As the hurricane passes through Bermuda on Thursday, it's believed to develop into a category 3 hurricane. After it makes landfall, Earl is expected to head back out to sea.
As for hurricane Danielle, Danielle has not made landfall yet, but “continues to produce a large area of very rough seas over the central-north Atlantic,” according to the National Hurricane Center. Danielle is expected to weaken to a tropical storm by the end of the week.
