In a sad turn of events, Lady Gaga had to cancel her Miami show at the Hard Rock Stadium for the Chromatica Ball on Saturday. The weather became too extreme for both Lady Gaga and her crew, as well as the audience members in the stadium, as lightning was striking the ground. The Miami show was also the last stop for the worldwide tour of Chromatica Ball, which had been postponed for 2 years due to COVID-19.
On an Instagram video posted yesterday, Gaga said that "I know that for a really long time, I’ve always wanted to be like that hard-core bad b****, but what I really want is to also be responsible and loving and I don’t know what I would do if anything happened to anybody in the audience or to any member of my crew, my band, my dancers.”
She also posted a selfie with a moving apology for ending the show early. "Look, for years some of you have called me “mother monster,” in my heart I knew it was better to keep you safe. Thank you for believing in me."
Huge pops to Gaga for prioritizing everyone's health and safety first. She put out her best and delivered! A real class act.
