Hurricane Ian is making its way through, and South Florida schools are preparing for it. While we are not going to be directly hit by the hurricane, massive storms are headed our way. Public schools in both Broward and Miami-Dade counties are closed Wednesday and Thursday.
Local universities are also expected to close due to Ian. FIU, Miami-Dade College, Broward College, and Barry University have all cancelled their Wednesday classes, and have closed their campuses. The University of Miami has moved all their classes on Wednesday to an online format.
