Hurricane Ian has turned into a category four hurricane and has heavily impacted the state. Many people across the state have been left without power, and a lot of damage has been done. We're keeping everyone in our thoughts as the hurricane continues to impact our beautiful state.

Among the wreckage of a hurricane comes with another problem - animals being displaced from their natural habitats. Florida officials have reported sightings of bears, alligators and snakes throughout the state trying to escape the hurricanes, and they're ending up in peoples backyards.

In a now viral video, one Twitter user even caught a shark swimming on the streets.

In a statement, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) said, "You may be more likely to see alligators, snakes, and bears, so remember to stay alert and give them space."

Be safe out there. For resources on how to help those impacted by Hurricane Ian, check out Sami's blog here.
