Woah! A 12 Foot Alligator Was Caught Swimming In The Ocean At Delray Beach

Beachgoers were in for a surprise yesterday morning as an alligator was caught swimming on Delray Beach! After multiple reports to local law enforcement, Officers with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission eventually came out to the beach, and the alligator was removed. Don't worry, the alligator is safe and now living its best life on a farm!

This sighting was especially a surprise, as alligators prefer fresh water to salt water. Alligators can tolerate being in salt water for short periods of time, but it isn't their preferred habitats.

Have you ever spotted an alligator in a spot they shouldn't be in?
