Uh oh - Yung Gravy’s attempt to Rickroll us all has backfired...

Rick Astley (the dude behind the iconic song "Never Gonna Give You Up") is suing Yung Gravy over his song “Betty (Get Money)”, as he's alleging that the vocals sound a bit too much like Rick Astley’s.

Yung Gravy and his lawyers claim that they did receive permission from Rick Astley’s team to mimick “Never Gonna Give You Up,” which means they could legally recreate elements from the song like the melody or lyrics. However, Rick Astley's lawyers say it's still too similar.

Effectively - the issue comes down to the fact that Yung Gravy chose to sing it himself rather than sample the song.

Yung Gravy also said in an interview that Rick Astley "digs the song" and "is a fan", which Astley's lawyers have said is also a false statement.

Do you think they sound similar? Let me know!
