Drake is being ordered to sit in front of a court in relation to the death of rapper XXXTentacion.
XXXTentacion, (real name Jahseh Onfroy) was killed on June 18, 2018, outside a Pompano Beach motorcycle dealership during a botched robbery.
Three suspects, Michael Boatwright, Trayvon Newsome, and Dedrick Williams, have pleaded not guilty to charges of first-degree murder and armed robbery with a firearm.
The move to involve Drake stems from an Instagram Stories post where XXXTentacion wrote in all caps, “If anyone tries to kill me it was @champagnepapi. Im snitching rn.”
However, after that post XXXTentacion claimed he was hacked -- but he was murdered only four months later.
“If deponent Aubrey Drake Graham does not appear to deposition he must appear before this court on Monday, Feb. 27, 2023 at 10 a.m. EST at so [sic] the court can determine why he should not be held in contempt,” reads the order, as reviewed by Rolling Stone.
