We hate reporting unfortunate news like this here at Y100, but one of our most beloved South Florida places had something tragic happen over the long weekend.
Knaus Berry Farm owner, Rachel Knaus Grafe was brutally assaulted in her home next to the farm by her son, Travis Grafe, who, allegedly beat his mother with a flashlight. She's currently in critical condition, and is being taken care of at Jackson Memorial Hospital.
He also assaulted his father, Herbert during the incident as well, but his injuries are less severe.
The incident occurred after Travis demanded money from the two. He also wanted to be removed from his mother's guardianship after he suffered from a traumatic brain injury after an ATV accident in 2015.
Travis is currently in jail. This is an ongoing story and we will keep you updated.
