We're witnessing social media history right now!
Mark Zuckerberg launched his new app "Threads" yesterday at 7 pm Eastern time and has since had over 30 million people sign up. He even pokes at Elon Musk by tweeting on the bird app for the first time in 11 years. Zuckerberg even became the first person on his new app to reach 1 million followers.
It's easy to join the app; no need to sign up with an email or phone number; everything transfers over from your Instagram account with one click of a button. The app is super simple to use as well. The new app is to compete with Twitter as Elon Musk recently kept adding restrictions to his app the past few weeks.
Mark hopes Threads will be a "friendly" platform for communication. Zuck continues, "It'll take some time, but I think there should be a public conversations app with one billion+ people on it. Twitter has had the opportunity to do this but hasn't nailed it. Hopefully, we will."
We've already joined and have many threads posted; add us!
