What's In The Box: Nelly Furtado

What's In The Box?! Nelly Futrado is another Canadian import via a Brazilian blend.

She hit the scene with her debut "Whoa, Nelly" in 200 which put her on the map backed by her pop friendly "I'm Like A Bird" and the more eclectic "Turn Off The Light", which hit the top 10 and won her a grammy for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance.

After a little bit of a sophomore slump with her even more folk intensive second album "Folklore," Furtado would blast back into the limelight with her 3rd album "Loose". Selling more than 10 million copies, it became one of the bestselling albums of the 2000s, spawning four number-one singles with "Promiscuous" (featuring Timbaland), "Maneater", "Say It Right", and "All Good Things (Come to an End)". She would finish out the decade, featuring on Timbaland's "Give It to Me", regaining critical acclaim on her duet with James Morrison, "Broken Strings" and releasing her Spanish-language album, "Mi Plan," which won her a Latin Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Album.

Nelly Furtado has sold over 45 million records, making her one of the most successful Canadian artists of all time!
