"Despacito" Makes History; Fonsi, Yankee, and Bieber All Achieve New Goals

We're witnessing Latin music history, people! Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee, and Justin Bieber have the number 1 song on the Billboard Hot 100, and there's no denying they deserve it because the song is HOOOTTT. This marks the FIRST Spanish-language record to top the charts since "Macarena" in '96 - WOW!

Romeo Santos, Bachata superstar, took to social media to congratulate the gentlemen and remind everyone that this is HUGE for Latinos:

And he's not the only one! Prince Royce also acknowledged the accolade:

This achievement marks the first time Luis Fonsi and even Daddy Yankee have topped the Hot 100, and what's also very special is that since "I'm The One" was #1 the week prior, this makes Justin Bieber the first artist EVER to have two different #1's in back-to-back weeks.

GREAT JOB to them. (And special shout out to the young lady that wrote the record, Erika Ender.)
