The West Palm Beach GreenMarket returns this weekend after winning the USA Today 10Best Readers' Choice award for "Best Farmers Market" in the U.S. for a second consecutive year.

The city's community events supervisor Mary Pinak believes there are a couple of reasons for that, which she calls the "V Factor."

"We have this year more than 110 of the finest vendors and they're committed to this market. Several of them are long term and then we have new vendors. The vendors are super important."

The other reason? The venue...

"I mean, look at our Intracoastal waterway. The view that we have from our GreenMarket. People love to come down, the breeze off the Intracoastal. They bring their dogs. It really is a extremely pleasant experience."

She adds that dogs must be on a short leash.

Mary says the event has moved one block west for this season to the 200-block of Clematis Street to accommodate for the highest number of vendors they've ever had.

The GreenMarket opens Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and parking is free during that time in the City Center and Clematis Street garage on the west side of Quadrille Boulevard.

This is the 28th Season for West Palm Beach's GreenMarket.
