By now everyone has heard the story and seen the video of a United Airlines passenger being forcefully dragged off a plane after it was overbooked.
The sparknotes of it is that they need four spaces for airline employees that needed to get to the destination. They asked for volunteers by offering vouchers worth up to $1000.
Pretty good deal but the keyword here is volunteer.. The man dragged off the plane was "selected" after no one wanted to give up their seats and refused to get off stating he was a doctor that had patients he needed to get to.
Since the videos went viral everyone has been commenting on the incident including the Merriam-Webster twitter account got in on the commentary in the most savage way possible. Let's just say they got savage af...
