“In light of recent events, we have decided to remove Logan Paul’s channels from Google Preferred, additionally, we will not feature Logan in season 4 of ‘Foursome’ and his new Originals are on hold.”
Ouch.... That's Youtube's latest statement in regards to Logan Paul after his controversial video that caused him to release this apology video
Seems Youtube has finally taken action after a few days of "listening to everything you've been saying"
An open letter to our community:— YouTube (@YouTube) January 9, 2018
Many of you have been frustrated with our lack of communication recently. You’re right to be. You deserve to know what's going on.
Suicide is not a joke, nor should it ever be a driving force for views. As Anna Akana put it perfectly: "That body was a person someone loved. You do not walk into a suicide forest with a camera and claim mental health awareness."— YouTube (@YouTube) January 9, 2018
It’s taken us a long time to respond, but we’ve been listening to everything you’ve been saying. We know that the actions of one creator can affect the entire community, so we’ll have more to share soon on steps we’re taking to ensure a video like this is never circulated again.— YouTube (@YouTube) January 9, 2018
If you're not exactly sure what all this means, essentially all the original shows he was doing with Youtube like The Thinning and Foursome have been put on hold, and Youtube has decided to remove Logan Paul from its Google Preferred program, which basically gives brands the ability to sell ads on the creators platform if they're in the top 5 contributors of content on Youtube.
