Justin Timberlake broke the rules at a Topgolf location in Charlotte by taking "Happy Gilmore" swings.
Personally I've yet to visit a one of the Topgolf's down here (even though I see everyone on my TL there) but apparently "Happy Gilmore" swings are prohibited...
If you don't remember, “Happy Gilmore” is the famous Adam Sandler movie where he takes up golf to win money so he can save his grandmother’s house. In the movie, he has an orthodox hockey like wind-up golf swing where he kind of gets a run at the ball. Apparently this is not allowed at Topgolf especially after people have been drinking.
Since Justin got caught, and broke their safety code, Topgolff issued a hilarious warning saying, "we aren't necessarily mad, we're just disappointed in him. We'll try to reach out to his reps, BUT we may just have to call his mom.”
Ok, so maybe they aren't as pissed as we though plus you have to admit that was a pretty good swing
