Yikes! Marshmello Accused Of Stealing A Song

Marshmello is getting sued over his hit “Happier”. DJ/Producer Arty, claims Marshmallow copied his remix of One Republic's "I Lived”.

We've seen this happen to Robin Thicke and most recently Ed Sheeran. Now DJ/Producer Arty says Marshmello's melody in "Happier" is a direct copy of Arty's "I Lived” remix. He said Marshmello's four-bar synthesizer is a knock off.

Now Arty is claiming out of the 20 notes, the order of the first 19 notes are identical. He also claims Marshmello was at one of his shows and saw him perform his "I Lived" remix and that's how we stole the idea.

Just FYI Arty released his famous remix in 2014. The track peaked at No. 2 in the Billboard Hot 100 and remained in the charts for 35 weeks.

Marshmello's "Happier" came out in 2018 and has garnered a whopping 335 MILLION streams on YouTube.

So now Arty is suing for copyright infringement and other damages.... Listen below to hear the similarities in the drops

And now Arty's remix. Just note that his remix is way more uptempo than Marshmello's happier but the melody of the synth in the drop is almost identical!

So does Arty have a case or is Marshmello gonna get cleared of the copy right charges???
