A woman in the UK is helping dogs spend their final days feeling as happy and loved as possible! She provides end of life care for the dogs, which includes ice cream treats, a birthday party, and a steak dinner.
This story totally has me in my feels but this lady is truly an angel. Nicola Harrison in the UK started volunteering at a kennel and started taking dogs home so they wouldn't be put down. Now runs the Grey Muzzle Canine Hospice Project.
Harrison throws them a birthday party, takes them to McDonald’s for ice cream, and to the local dog-friendly pub to enjoy a nice steak dinner. She spends up to $500 on each one to help give them the best during the short amount of time they have left.
“They just want to feel loved and safe,” Harrison says. “I believe they should get a nice ending.”
