A Petition to Change the Date of Halloween Now Has 100,000 Signatures

Halloween has been on October 31st forever but people really want to change it to the weekend and their petition to do so now has 100,000 signatures!

Both parents and party animal young adults really want to change the date of Halloween from October 31st to the last Saturday of October!

Basically it would work like Memorial Day, which is always the last Monday in May.

The idea is that it'd be better for everyone if it were on a Saturday so parents could take their kids trick-or-treating and so that people in their 20s looking to wear slutty costumes and throw back 17 drinks can do so without worrying about working the next day.

So far, the petition (which is legit) on Change.org has around 100,000 signatures. When a petition crosses the 75,000 mark, it's sent to the president so now we just wait.

Just fyi the petition has been going since last year but it's finally getting more attention since we're getting close to the holiday
