Riverdale star, Camila Mendes, is talking about a terrible experience she had in college and how she overcame it.
Camila attended New York University's Tisch School of The Arts before landing the role of Veronica on Riverdale where she had a really unforutante experience that I don't wish on anyone.
In her cover story for Women's Health she talks about how she was roofied and sexually assaulted during her freshman year. In the article she discusses how she went through a "dark period" and explains the significance of her "to build a home" tattoo above her rib and how it relates to the whole situation.
"I got the tattoo after my freshman year... I had a very, very bad experience; I was roofied by someone who sexually assaulted me." she tells the magazine.
She says the tattoo is a reminder to "strengthen both her sense of self and the environment around her."
