The House of Representatives has impeached President Donald Trump for a second time on Wednesday for inciting the attack on the U.S. Capitol last week.

After the riots, last week at the Capitol that left at least five people, including a Capitol Police officer, dead the House introduced articles of impeachment.

Following hours of debate 10 House Republicans and 222 House Democrats impeached Donald Trump for a second time.

This officially making him the first President to be impeached twice.

House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer said the chamber plans to send an article of impeachment to the Senate immediately, though the chamber may not have enough time to remove Trump before President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration Jan. 20.
