President Biden Resuming Effort to Put Harriet Tubman on $20 Bill

A plan to make Harriet Tubman the face of the new $20 bills is back on and President Biden's administration is looking for ways to speed the process up.

Biden's Press Secretary, Jen Psaki, told reporters the 2016 Obama-era effort to put the Harriet Tubman on the front of the new twenties is being resumed in order for American money to "reflect the history and diversity of our country.”

Jen Psaki says they are trying to expedite the process, which was originally announced in April 2016, but was dismissed by Donald Trump who said he didn't want to do it just for "pure political correctness" and suggested putting Harriet Tubman on the $2 bill instead. That never came to fruition.
