Governor Ron Desantis said he wants to prioritize teachers during the next round of COVID-19 vaccinations.
This doesn't mean that every teacher will be eligible.
The vaccinations will go to teachers between the ages of 50 and 64 starting next week.
These vaccinations will be held at the new federal site at Miami-Dade College’s North Campus in Northwest Miami-Dade.
During a stop in Hialeah, he said this about the vaccinations, “We want that to be open not just to seniors, but to sworn law enforcement and classroom teachers.”
Superintendent Alberto Carvalho added that other school employees should also be able to get the vaccine.
